Valentine Cards Guidelines/Reminder – We’ll be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Friday, February 14th.

  • R’s class has a different set of guidelines.  Please check his blog for details.
  • If the cards come with a sticker or tattoo that is fine, but please do not send any type of candy or additional items for the class.
  • A card needs to be sent for each student in the class.

(Ms. April 24; Ms. Lori 26; Mrs. Corn 24; Ms. Sarah 25; Mrs. Theriac 25)

  • Your child’s name should be written in the “From” place, but do not address them to individual students.
  • Feel free to send in cards early and leave them in your child’s cubby in a gallon zip-loc bag.

We’ve added more auction items to the list…see below!

The Flu – We are just now starting to see a few children with flu.  If your child is complaining of a sore throat, headache, seem lethargic or just not feeling well, please have them checked out before coming to school.

Why might you see a propane tank on the front lawn?  Hopefully over the next few weeks, we’ll be boiling down enough sap to make maple syrup for the Sugar Bush Social sometime in March.  It’s easier for us to keep an eye on things during the day, when it’s on the front law.   Not too late to tap any maple trees you might have.  We can get you what you need to tap the sap!

Sugar Bush Social –

The last several years Mr. R’s class has hosted a Sugarbush Social with a little help from our families.  If you have a maple tree(s) in your yard and are willing to “tap” the sap, we can provide the tubes, jug(s) and simple instructions.  This can happen over the next couple of weeks.

Forty gallons of sap makes one gallon of maple syrup!

Once you have gathered the sap, you would bring it in and on a yet to be specified day, we’ll do the final boiling down outside.  At the end of that day parents/kids are welcome to stop in to try some fresh maple syrup as Mr. R’s class makes pancakes to go with it.

If you can help with sap, bring in the attached form or pick one up at the front desk.
